Hunting Package #2 (Deer, Elk and/or Bear) - These hunts take place in the Piedra Wilderness packed in
approximately 8 miles to a base camp at 9000' altitude. These hunts are designed to accommodate a maximum of 6 hunters. The terrain is from mild to rugged
and covered with spruce, aspen and meadows throughout the hunting territory. The area has produced a lot of 6x6 and 5x5 bull elk and a moderate number of
quality mule deer bucks. We have enjoyed a higher than average success ratio in the past and have had a high percentage of sightings of animals. Your success
will depend on your ability and weather at the time of the hunt. Our method of hunting is from bugling, cow calling, stalking and some tree stand hunting whichever
we feel may be the most successful. Our archers have a harvest of 20-30%, some hunts have 50% shot taken. Muzzleloader hunts have averaged over 50% ratio.
Our rifle hunters have enjoyed an overall 40-50% ratio on deer & elk and some hunts 60-80% and higher ratio with 100% game sightings on all hunts.

Hunting Package #3 (Elk, Mule Deer and Black Bear) - Deluxe drop camps consist of our packing you and your personal gear and groceries to any of four remote camp locations in Colorado. We furnish all camping equipment necessary to run your camp. A list of exact equipment will be furnished to your group at the time of booking. We also have these camps completely set up and ready to go including a supply of pre-cut wood. We furnish the saddle horse and one pack animal for you and your personal gear to and from our camp and have our packer check your camp at a prearranged time. Our package also includes the packing out of any game you have harvested. We will pack out game from point of kill providing we can get a pack animal to the site. Camp locations are approximately 8500' in mountainous terrain with a mixture of aspen, spruce and meadows. Camps will accommodate 6 hunts maximum and are 2-8 miles from the trailhead. Our hunters have enjoyed an average of 30-40% harvest and have had as high as 75% depending on the hunter's condition and weather. The pack-in and out dates are crucial to serving all our camps better. We can no longer pack out early or change dates, due to man power, pack animals and saddle horses required for early pack outs. Archery & Muzzleloaders, minimum of 2 and maximum of 6, we will furnish with 2 tree stands, depending on size of group.
